Hi, I’m Heather
When your body becomes the place anxiety lives, when your child's diagnosis changes what your whole family has to be, or when you're the sibling or parent of someone with a disability and nobody ever asks how you're doing, these aren't small concerns. They're the ones people often can't find a therapist for.
I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I have a particular focus on eating disorders, anxiety and depression, neurodivergent kids and their parents, medically complex families, and siblings and caregivers of people with disabilities. I also work with LDS clients navigating faith within their tradition.
I'm conversationally proficient in Spanish and welcome Spanish-speaking clients for in-person sessions. I became a therapist because I'm genuinely interested in the complexity of families and the ways people adapt, often heroically, to circumstances they didn't choose.

I draw on EMDR, ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, DBT, IFS, ART, neurofeedback, and solution-focused approaches, adapting to what each person and family needs rather than applying a single model.
Families organized around disability or medical complexity often have members nobody asks about. I aim for sessions that feel practical and genuine, and I try to make space for those people.
