Hi, I’m Krista
Not all trauma looks the same. Some people come in knowing something terrible happened. Others come in knowing that something has been off for as long as they can remember: they lose track of time, they find themselves somewhere different without quite knowing how they got there, certain things are simply unavailable to memory. Dissociation is real, treatable, and more common than most people know.
I specialize in complex trauma and dissociation, working with teens and adult women whose trauma runs deep and sometimes shows up in ways that are hard to explain. I am one of a small number of therapists in Utah who has sought out specialized training and ongoing consultation specifically in dissociation work.
I hold a feminist lens in all of my work. The women I work with often come to me after years of their experiences being minimized or misunderstood. I'm also affirming of LGBTQIA+ clients and those in faith transitions.

EMDR is the center of my trauma processing work. Alongside it I draw on stabilization and grounding approaches specific to dissociative presentations, and I consult regularly with a dissociation specialist when the case calls for it.
I also use CBT, TF-CBT, Gottman, and MRT and Seeking Safety where relevant.
