Hi, I’m Megan
When mental health struggles don't respond to therapy alone, the right medication approach can be the piece that opens the door. Getting there takes a provider who listens carefully, follows up, and doesn't treat a prescription as the end of the conversation.
I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive concerns, mood instability, and psychosis. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and trauma-informed throughout, which means I approach medication conversations with an understanding of what someone has been through, not just what they're presenting with now.
I work closely with the therapy team at Purple Sky because medication management works best when it's integrated with the rest of someone's treatment.
-
I take time to understand what someone has already tried, what has helped and what hasn't, and what's happening in their life outside the medication question. I coordinate closely with each patient's therapy team and communicate proactively when something is shifting.
I've also completed EMDR training, which deepens how I understand trauma presentations in the patients I see. Getting medication right is iterative, and I'm here for that process.
