Hi, I’m Ruth
Middle age has a way of stacking losses. A career that no longer fits. A marriage that needs to find a new shape. A parent with dementia who is still here and also already gone in the ways that matter. A late diagnosis that reframes everything about your past. Grief is not always about death, and it doesn't always look like grief.
I work with adults, couples, and families navigating grief and loss, ADHD and autism (including late diagnoses), relationship challenges, major career transitions, and the particular pressures of mid-life and older adulthood. I also specialize in supporting people through end-of-life concerns, whether their own or a loved one's.
I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and those in faith transitions.

EMDR helps process grief and loss that's gotten stuck. DBT provides regulation skills. Gottman shapes my couples work. My end-of-life training and dementia background inform the caregiving conversations that rarely have a dedicated space in standard therapy.
I hold grief in a wide sense: not just death, but the loss of a self, a role, a relationship, a version of a life. Treating it with that breadth changes what people can do with it.
