Hi, I’m Shandy
You don't always need a label for why you're hurting. Sometimes you just know that things have felt off for a while, or that you're going through something you can't quite explain to the people in your life. That's enough of a reason to be here.
I work from an existential-humanistic framework, which means I start with the assumption that you are the expert on your own life and I'm here to create space for you to understand it more fully. I work with a wide range of people: children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
I'm affirming of LGBTQIA+ individuals and welcome those in faith transitions. I'm warm and genuine in the room, and I believe the relationship is the therapy.

My theoretical home is existential-humanistic, using CBT and ACT as practical complements. I'm completing EMDR training, which is adding another dimension to how I work with trauma.
I don't push a technique onto a person. I try to follow where the person needs to go and build the tools around that.

Shandy is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Her work is supervised by Ashlee Eixenberger, LMFT. Supervised care means a licensed clinician is actively involved in your treatment from the start. Associates here meet weekly with their individual supervisor, join biweekly group supervision, and take part in monthly consultation groups covering specialties like DBT, EMDR, and complex trauma, plus a monthly deep dive training built to sharpen skills and deepen expertise.
