Hi, I’m Spencer
Medication works best when it supports the work you're already doing in therapy and in your life, not when it replaces it. Getting there takes a provider who takes the time to explain what's happening and make decisions with you, not for you.
I work with adolescents (12 and up), adults, and older adults on ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, trauma and PTSD, bipolar spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder and emotional dysregulation, psychotic disorders, insomnia, autism spectrum concerns, and complex or diagnostically challenging presentations.
I'm passionate about continuing my education in functional health and emerging psychiatric treatments, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine therapy, so I can offer the most comprehensive, evidence-based care possible. Outside of work, I've recently become obsessed with golf, and I'm a proud girl dad who loves any excuse for an adventure with my daughter.

I believe medication should support, not replace, the work people do in therapy and in daily life. I take time to help clients understand their diagnosis, walk through treatment options, and make shared decisions rather than simply prescribing. I value close communication with each client's therapist, because the best outcomes come when medication management and therapy are working toward the same goals.
I have a strong interest in functional health, looking at the broader picture of wellness, including sleep, nutrition, hormones, and lifestyle, alongside medication. Nearly 11 years at Utah State Hospital, moving from psychiatric technician through LPN and RN before becoming a nurse practitioner, gave me a close look at psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and psychopharmacology across a wide range of complex presentations, and it shapes how carefully I approach diagnosis today.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP). Nearly 11 years of psychiatric nursing experience at Utah State Hospital, progressing from Certified Nursing Assistant/Psychiatric Technician to Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse before advancing to nurse practitioner. Ongoing continuing education in functional health and emerging psychiatric treatments, including TMS and ketamine therapy.
