Meet the Med Team
Medication management is not just about the prescriber. There is usually a whole team helping things run in the background so clients can get answers, schedule follow-ups, send questions, and know what is going on. At Purple Sky, our medication team includes providers as well as medical assistants who help support communication, coordination, and day-to-day medication management needs.
Our med team is here to help make the process feel more clear and less overwhelming. That does not mean everything can happen instantly, and it does not mean every request can be handled without an appointment, but it does mean there are real people helping hold the moving parts together.
What the med team helps with
Our medication team may help with:
Scheduling medication evaluations and follow-up appointments
Helping route messages to the right provider
Answering basic questions about medication management logistics
Helping with paperwork, forms, and coordination tasks
Supporting communication about prescriptions, pharmacies, and follow-up needs
Helping clients understand next steps when an appointment is needed
Because medication care includes safety, monitoring, and legal requirements, some questions or refill requests may need to go directly through a provider or may require an appointment before changes can be made.
Meet Daisy
Daisy is one of our medical assistants on the Purple Sky med team. She helps support the day-to-day flow of medication management by assisting with communication, coordination, scheduling, and helping clients know what steps come next.
She is often one of the people helping things get to the right place behind the scenes. That can include helping with follow-up needs, routing medication-related questions, and supporting the overall process so clients are not trying to navigate it alone.
What medical assistants do
Our medical assistants are not medication prescribers, and they do not replace the role of your provider. Their role is to help support the process so communication, scheduling, coordination, and follow-up are handled more smoothly. That may include helping with:
Appointment scheduling
Refill request routing
Communicating office policies around medications
Pharmacy coordination questions
Follow-up reminders
Helping clients know when they need an appointment with their provider
We know medication questions often come up when people are already overwhelmed, not sleeping well, anxious, or worried about running out. Our goal is to be clear, responsive, and helpful while also staying within the policies that keep medication management safe and consistent.
How to reach the med team
If you are already a medication management client and have a question, the best next step depends on what you need. Some questions can be handled by the med team, while other issues need provider review or a follow-up appointment.
For medication questions, refill requests, or scheduling needs, contact the office through the usual Purple Sky channels and we will route your message to your medication provider or the med team. Therapists do not manage prescriptions, dose changes, or refills.
